About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and hard-working Production Operative to join our Meat Department. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for handling and preparing various meat products including bacon, gammon, and primals.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
Working in a temperature-controlled environment, you’ll learn to operate a range of specialist equipment such as flow wrappers, primal presses, ovens, and slicers to ensure products are prepared safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Handling and preparing various meats including bacon, gammon, and primals
- Learning and operating machinery such as the flow wrapper, primal press, oven, and slicer
- Working within a temperature-controlled environment
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets
A Few Things About You
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience in food production or a similar environment would be an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided
