We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead to come and join our friendly team at Prescot Vets for Pets.

Our nursing team has over 40 years of qualified experience in first opinion, referrals and charity work. Our front of house staff have 20 years of customer care experience within veterinary medicine. They are confident and capable in all situations and this diverse group is enjoying growing together with regular in house and external CPD. The team is committed to developing their knowledge and skills with 2 receptionists converting to VCA’s, our HRVN studying towards a radiology certificate, and one of our vets pursuing a certificate in small animal dentistry.

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step in their career as a Clinical Lead paying up to £70,000. Full or part time hours can be considered, and we can offer flexible working with 1:4 Saturdays on a rota basis. Previous experience as a Clinical Lead is not necessary but you must be experienced in all aspects of small animal first opinion practice and confident in routine surgical and medical cases. An applicant with a keen interest in surgery or in developing their surgical skills would be highly desirable.

Prescot Vets for Pets is situated in Cables Retail Park with a wide range of shops and plenty on free onsite parking. There is always somewhere to grab a nice lunch, especially for a Friday treat We are also within walking distance to Prescot town centre with a range of cafés and restaurants. One of which won Trip Advisors Travellers Award 2022.

On the edge of the town is the famous estate of Lord Derby, which includes Knowsley Safari Park. In recent years, a number of cultural and arts events have been established in Prescot town, and we are home to the renowned Shakespeare North Playhouse. We are also a part of Merseyside which is known for being home to kind and approachable people who will welcome you with open arms, and the beautiful and historic Liverpool city centre is only 20 minutes away by train. Whilst there’s plenty to do here, we have amazing transport links to major cities like Liverpool, Chester and Manchester - all are easy to reach by either car or train.
