General Summary:
This position reports to the Stores & Parts Supervisor or their designee, when travel to events you will work under the direction of the Chief Mechanic. This position is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for providing a professional parts service to the race team by working closely with the factory to ensure supply is in line with demand in a proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- Follow and implement parts policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Competent user of our ERP and Lifing software with the ability to train and guide others on the effective use of the software within the race team.
- Ability to navigate CAD and to understand technical drawings.
- Coordinate the distribution of parts in alignment with the approved allocation and build spec documents and feedback any required changes.
- Takes an enthusiastic approach to satisfying the parts needs of the race team.
- Confidence and knowledge to feedback any changes which could reduce cost and/or improve the supply of components.
- Open and honest communication style. Encouraging an atmosphere of mutual trust between race team and factory.
- Collate data relating to part attrition and make recommendations for stocking policies per part to ensure cost effective and timely supply to meet demands
- Replenishes travelling stores to an agreed level in between events. Informs PMO team of any shortages and keeps track of delivery status.
- For car build and upgrades, actively checks the status of each part and informs others where action is required to achieve the delivery date target.
- Manage the turnaround of structural and non-structural components between events.
- Travel to tests, races and events with the race team as required and an active member of the pit stop crew.
- Whilst on event, is responsible for the receiving and issuing of parts from the travelling stores. Must liaise with the Parts Coordinator to ensure the correct parts are issued and transacted in real time within the ERP and Lifing software.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
- Assumes any responsibilities and duties delegated by the Stores & Parts Supervisor or their designee.

Education and Work Experience:

- GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Further education including Trade School, Apprenticeship or University Degree desired.
- 2 to 3 years of experience within a parts and supply chain, preferably in Motorsport
- ERP & Lifing system experience is essential.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet liability/casualty insurance requirements.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Have an excellent understanding of ERP & Lifing systems
- Knowledge of CAD systems would be beneficial
- Strong technical background in racing car parts
- Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
- Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
- Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
- A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
- A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

Equipment and Applications:

- Example: Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Example: Mechanical aptitude.
- Example: Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.

Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role will require extensive domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
