**Pay**:£450-£500 per week

Shape A Life, is currently seeking an enthusiastic graduate to work in a secondary school in Sutton Coldfield as a Cover Supervisor. In this role you will provide classroom cover with work that has been set by the teacher who is absent. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners. The position promises a challenging yet rewarding work experience.

**What to Expect**:

- Cover for Registration and Life Curriculum in the absence of Form Tutors
- Ensure orderly entry and exit of the classroom
- Register and record student attendance in lessons
- Supervise a whole class to undertake pre-set work and/or activities during the absence of their teacher, including introducing and closing the class
- Maintain good order and manage behaviour constructively
- Respond appropriately to questions raised by students
- Keep students on task as necessary
- Deal with any immediate problems in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures
- Collect any completed work and return it to the appropriate teacher
- Manage resources effectively and ensure classrooms are left tidy and ready for the next lesson
- Provide in-class support which may include assistance to individual students or a group of students, as directed by the class teacher
- Provide curriculum support as directed by Senior Managers
- Assist as part of a team in invigilating examinations
- To carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by Headteacher

**What We Offer**:
We provide a **long-term temporary contract, full-time (Monday - Friday),** covering the remainder of the academic year and possibly the new academic year during term-time only. As a Cover Supervisor in school, you'll start as soon as possible with a competitive pay rate ranging from **£450 to £500 per week**. - A degree with a 2:2 classification or above.
