An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 7 Senior Clinician to join the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This role aims to work in collaboration with the Clinical Leads, Team leads and Service manager to provide quality assessment, formulation and interventions in CAMHS Connect, with skilled liaison with wider CAMHS pathways, Internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with the Clinical Leads, Team leads and Service manager to support and develop robust clinical protocols, offering consultation, supervision, training and assisting all clinical staff to provide the best service for families, raising the profile of young people and carers’ access to services whilst ensuring best practice.
- Supporting screening and triage of new referrals, initial assessment, clinical review, formulation of care planning and care coordination of young people in the community, inpatient and across all CYP pathways. Leading in complex cases, facilitating multiple pathways, risk assessment and supporting the patient journey through specialist services.
- Operational ‘grip’ on flow in and out of the Service
- Attendance and leadership in weekly critical meetings e.g. ‘Huddle’ Meetings, Pathway Lead Meetings, Clinical Reviews, Risk Panel, Integrated Screening Panel (ISP)
- In addition: to participate in clinical audit, clinical documentation, developing SOPS, policies, responding to complaints and improving service thorough service user feedback
- To support with CPD Staff Training and supervision to ensure that Staff understand the protocols and Clinical Systems requirements, Mental Health Act legislation and Safeguarding practice
