**Job Overview**
The Estimator is responsible for managing quote opportunities from the early stage of qualification through to contract award & handover to our project delivery team. The estimating stage involves reviewing works packages to extract necessary details, submitting RFQ’s to our suppliers, creating and pricing the works in our estimating system and preparing proposals to submit to our customers. The pre-construction element involves reviewing ordered projects to ensure the package technical details and costs are optimised and ready to handover to our project management department. Tekta take pride in the quality in our proposals so the estimating role is key to our success.

**Duties**
- 1. Reviewing works packages to extract quantity & specification take-offs, including liasing with clients for additional information or clarification
- Submitting RFQs (Request for Quotations) to suppliers and following up to ensure a timely response
- Creating and pricing packages in our estimating system, maintaining high standards of accuracy
- Preparing proposals to submit to customers, working with the Sales team to maximise conversion
- Reviewing ordered projects to optimize technical details and costs and ensure they are ready for handover to the project delivery department

**Experience**
- Proven experience in project estimation or a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- A relevant degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
