Care Today (Children's Services) are recruiting Residential Care Workers to join our homes based in Wakefield.

Our welcoming homes provide 24/7 care for young people within the home, the home is for children all facing a variety of their own challenges, and we are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to help make a difference to these children.

During your 6-month probation period, you will be enrolled in a NVQ 3 Diploma in residential care, if you do not already hold one. This will be fully funded and you will be given plenty of time and support to complete However, you must be self-motivated to complete the qualification.
- Availability and ability to work on a rota that involves 24/7 working
- Good communication and listening skills
- Able and willing to do sleep in shifts
- Accurate record keeper
- Organisational skills
- Good team player
- Driving licence

Care Today are a family run Independent provider of Residential homes for children of varying ages, along with our sister company Parallel Parents Fostering who have been rated Ofsted Outstanding since 2010.

- Sleepovers paid whilst on annual leave (based on previous 52 week average)

Bonus paid on completion of L3 diploma (within set timescales)

Additional annual leave after 5 years

Overtime paid above contractual hours

*Sleepovers are paid at £60.00 per sleep

*Additional pay for bank holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £29,000.00-£30,500.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
