A Specialist SEN School in Cherwell is looking for a caring and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team full-time. The school supports children with various additional needs, including ASD, PMDL, those with lower cognitive abilities andcomplex learning needs. Your day-to-day will involve supporting and shadowing the class teacher, whilst providing 1:1 support for the SEN students. You will help run exciting lessons to help make the classroom a fun and exciting place. Behavioural management and personal care mayalso be required. This is a place where no two days are the same
Experience working with SEN children and/or adults is essential. This can be professional or personal experience, such as having a family member with additional needs. A relevant degree in the field of Psychology, Criminology or Mental Health would alsobe desirable, as well as experience in education. Passion and enthusiasm is essential
