The Catering Assistant will work as part of the Catering team based on our Inpatient Unit to provide a service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The main responsibilities of this role will include;
- To clean the kitchen areas, utensils and equipment and clean staff and visitor areas.
- To carry out a range of general catering duties in an effective and efficient manner, promoting a positive and professional image.
- To assist with basic food preparation, counter and hospitality service to staff patients and visitors.

The support staff within the Hospice are viewed as integral members of the caring team and the post holder must be able to interact calmly and supportively with volunteers and also visitors who may well be distressed and upset.
