**What you'll be doing**
- Ensuring the resourcing team has appropriate office cover is in place 7 days a week.
- Ensuring Tractor, Trailer and Driver availability meets daily requirement, 7 days per week.
- Being responsible for allocating Drivers, Tractors and Trailers to meet the daily plan.
- Managing sub-contractor availability to support daily requirements.
- Ensuring that driver rotas are in line with the working time directive.
- Managing driver requirements and liaise with HR with timely recruitment needs.
- Planning fleet service and maintenance without affecting kit availability, but whilst still meeting all legal requirements.
- Producing and keeping up to date a ‘live’ 3 month plan, which informs drivers of daily and weekly start times, manages driver holidays and known absences, and gives early warning of impending driver shortage issues.
- Managing and developing all members of the resource team, to include attendance, timekeeping and performance matters.
- Managing budgets and headcounts, utilising resources as efficiently as possible.
- Escalating any issues to the Transport Operations Manager
- Reporting daily on delivery KPI’s and issues

Working hours - Mon-Fri 10am - 7pm

**What you'll need**
- Previous planning experience which must be in a Transport environment.
- Highly organized.
- Excellent planning skills.
- High energy profile, result oriented, calm under pressure, not easily distracted.
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships with all departments/ functions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Shows integrity and trust.
- Proactive, pragmatic.
- Strong analytical skills.
