Opus Vitae are actively recruiting for a **Purchasing and Sourcing Lead** for our client based in the **Newtown** area.

The Purchasing and Sourcing Lead, will report to the Operations Manager and R&D Lead. Working with both teams to find new suppliers for new products and raw materials. Negotiating terms and costs, developing supplier relationships, placing orders, and managing incoming inventory and costs.

**Salary**: £25,000 - £33,000 per annum, dependent upon experience.

Experience/Attributes we are looking for...
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience within purchasing
- Relevant experience with sourcing suppliers and new product development
- Strong negotiator whilst maintaining supplier relationships
- Strong project management and communication skills, to ensure execution.
- Business acumen and financial awareness.

Your daily responsibilities will include...

Sourcing:

- Actively seek out alternative suppliers internationally, for multi-source supply
- Develop new products with the R&D team, finding suppliers within budget
- Input all data for new products accurately
- Carry out research into new products and identify new suppliers
- Manage supplier and product compliance with new products
- Follow up with suppliers when stock is not delivered on time, and ensure system and sales teams are updated

Purchasing:

- Work with Goods Inwards Quality Control on new products and raise any issues directly with suppliers to find a resolution
- Manage supplier returns
- Input new pricing into the system and calculate profit margins
- Negotiate better terms with suppliers
- Ensure stock is replenished in a timely manner
- Run reports on incoming goods and purchase as necessary
- Assist with arranging logistics of purchased items
- Raise new purchase orders and ensure order confirmations match invoices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
