CNC Toolroom Machinist

Coppice Alupack, part of the EP Group, is an international supplier of packaging to the food manufacturing processing and baking industries.

Working as part of the Toolroom Team you be responsible for Providing technical support to both the Production and Maintenance Teams. Being fully competent working on CNC milling machines you will contribute to best practise operating and manufacturing techniques.

**Specific Role Responsibilities**

As a CNC / Toolroom Machinist, you will:

- Manufacture a wide range of bespoke tooling items
- Inspect and ensure the manufactured components are to drawing and of an acceptable standard
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance
- Be fully competent working on CNC Milling machines
- Be fully competent working on manual toolroom equipment
- Complete basic machine maintenance
- Continually assess machine condition and maintain as necessary
- Contribute to best practise operating and manufacturing techniques
- Ensure and maintain a safe working environment by adherence to HSE requirements
- Complete Hazard Tags where required
- Support continuous improvement activities and initiatives
- Ensure housekeeping within work area is maintained at the highest level ensuring adherence to BRC accreditation and standards at all times
- To carry out or assist with any duties as deemed necessary in connection with the business

**Essential Knowledge & Qualifications**:

- Full Apprenticeship qualified or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and modify CNC Programmes
- Experienced Programmer of vertical machining centres
- Time Served Background working within Manufacturing
- Understanding of H&S requirements and key principles

**Experience**:

- Working on CNC Milling Machines
- Experienced with toolroom machinery
- Able to read and interpret documents such as Component Drawings, Safety Rules, Operating instructions
- Good communication skills
- Manufacturing environment background

**Capabilities**:

- Able to work as part of a team
- Flexible approach in order to meet business and departmental requirements
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to work on own initiative and manage own priorities and time constraints

**Desirable Experience & Capabilities**:

- Knowledge of One CNC Cam package
- Knowledge of Aberlink CMM measuring machines
- Solidworks CAD package knowledge

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
