Accounts and Administration Assistant

Mindful Memorials are a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of memorials across the Yorkshire region. Operating from its artisan workshop near Melbourn you'll work as part of a small team who support the administration and accounts areas of the business.
**Accounts and Administration Assistant - 24 hours per week (3 days) - up to £12 per hour**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Accounts Receivable and Payable**:
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets as needed.
- Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients for payments.
**2. General Administration**:
- Day to day administration and updating of the Company CRM system.
- Support general sales administration for retail and trade customers.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other documents.
- Assist with organising meetings and events as needed.
**3. Data Entry and Record Keeping**:
- Input financial transactions into the accounting system with precision and accuracy.
- Accurately inputting and amending data in the CRM system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, expenses, and receipts.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of financial and personnel information.
**4. Customer Service**:
- Provide excellent customer service to customers by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding administrative matters.
**5. Assist with Special Projects**:
- Collaborate with team members on special projects or initiatives as assigned.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the department.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in an administrative or accounting role.
- Experience in accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: Up to £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
