A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join an exciting company based in Woking in a permanent role where you will enjoy a fast paced and supportive working environment which supports the development and progression of the individual.

**Responsibilities**:

- To produce accurate and timely financial settlements
- To produce standard transactional journal entries on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as required in accordance with accounting standards and company policies in the accounting system (Navision)
- Preparation of BACS and Bankline payments
- Supporting the Manager in managing outstanding settlements and dealing with queries
- Month end tasks to include settlement accruals, balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Build strong working relationships
- To provide ad hoc support to the wider UK Finance and Group Finance Teams
- For areas for which accountable, ensure that financial controls and processes are developed, documented and maintained
- Identify financial control and process improvements, and implement changes to strengthen the control environment and increase the efficiency of the team
- Embrace change agenda - be an enthusiastic advocate of change
- Would suit someone looking to study for a qualification, AAT or equivalent
- Experience of working in a finance function
- Enthusiastic and adaptable working style, keen to identify opportunities for improvements and personal growth
- Good Excel and IT skills, with experience of Navision preferable
- Strong intellect combined with attention to detail, well organised, process driven and delivery focussed
- The ability to work well under pressure and a proven ability to manage and meet conflicting deadlines
- Adaptable and keen to learn
- Straightforward, open personality and an enthusiastic, positive attitude
