Childcare Apprenticeship

Early Nurture is providing an opportunity to earn as you gain experience.

We are looking for a new member of staff to join us as an apprentice in our Childminding setting. There will be an opportunity for you to gain your Level 2 or 3 in childcare (must be over 18). You'll be working 4 days a week and 1 day a week studying towards your qualification. We are pleased to offer above the National Minimum Apprentice Wage as well as offering other benefits.

Courses normally run for 13 months. You will gain experience in all areas of day to day childcare life and embrace a sound knowledge of current good childcare practices, to start a fulfilling career.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside qualified staff across all areas of age range of 3 months to 5 years, to develop your practical skills in caring for young children under the overall guidance of the Manager/Mentor within the setting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Undertake and successfully complete the training element of the Apprenticeship Programme as scheduled
- Assist in the day to day work of the setting and under supervision, provide high quality childcare for all children attending Early Nurture
- Regularly engage with all children throughout the day in order to meet their personal and emotional needs
- Contribute to ideas regarding implementation of policies and procedures such as Early Years Foundation Stage
- Be aware of and work within all of the settings policies and procedures, and implement them when necessary
- Be aware of the need for confidentiality
- Participate in staff team meetings
- Ensure that all childcare equipment is in a safe and hygienic condition

About you:

- Have good punctuation
- Ability to work as a Team
- Ability to work flexibly in order to attend meetings/activities that may be outside of normal working hours
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good timekeeping

**Salary**: £4.50-£6.00 per hour
