Are you an experienced Mechanical Craftsperson? Do you consider yourself to be proactive and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Hartlepool?

We have a permanent Mechanical Craftsperson role available within TATA Steel's Hartlepool site. This role is ideal for someone who considers themselves to be hands on and is a time served experienced fitter within a heavy industrial environment.

Role: Mechanical Craft

Location: TATA Steel, Hartlepool Works, Brenda Rd, Hartlepool TS25 2EG

**Salary**: £41,008 (inclusive of shift allowance) with progression to £45,043 (inclusive of shift allowance)

Start: ASAP

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing technical expertise to manufacturing areas within the Operations team at the 20'' Pipe Mill
- Execute planned maintenance tasks effectively
- Working through planned maintenance tasks in order of priority
- Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems
- Ensuring deficiencies are found and repaired
- Repairing mechanical items to a high standard
- Repairing and refurbishing existing equipment
- Following a high level of Health and Safety at all times and promoting this to others

Essential requirements:

- Driving licence and use of a car
- Holder of a Mechanical apprenticeship ideally within an industrial environment
- Experience within a heavy industrial environment
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
