**Job Title: Support Worker - Trainee**

**Location: Leeds**

**Salary: £10.42 per hour, £12.75 per hour for bank holidays and £35 per sleep in**

**Hours: 0-40+ (flexible working, can lead to permanent in a few weeks).**

We are currently looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Children's Support Workers. As a support worker, you will be responsible for providing residential care and support to children and young people who may have experienced trauma or difficulties in their lives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
- Building positive relationships.
- Providing emotional and practical support.
- Supporting children and young people with their daily routines.
- Encouraging them to develop their social and life skills.
- Ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard.
- Completing relevant paperwork and reports.
- Working as part of a team to meet the needs of the children and young people.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- A caring and compassionate attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding.
- Able to commit to the following shift patterns: 8am-11pm, 3pm-11pm, Sleep ins and waking nights.
- 1 day minimum availability per week.
