Zachary Daniels Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this well established law firm of 15 years in the appointment of a Cyber Security Analyst to bring into their growing IT department.

**ROLE SUMMARY**

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for IT Security Across the Group of businesses. This person needs to be able to respond, act and advise in the ever-changing world of IT security.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To keep up to date with the latest security and technological development surrounding corporate IT environments
- Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage / mitigate them in the businesses
- To contribute and enhance the disaster recovery and incident response plan
- Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity
- Test and evaluate security products and ensure they are adding the right value at group level
- To be able to use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
- Identify potential security weaknesses and implement measures and mitigations to strengthen security posture across the group
- Investigate security alerts and provide an incident response
- Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system users
- Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendations
- To be able to produce security reports for the audience of both technical and non-technical staff
- To develop and maintain an IT security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information / IT security
- To play an active role in the creating and maintaining of cyber security awareness within the group.
- To be able to give staff advice and guidance on all IT security concerns

**SKILLS**
- A keen passion for cyber security and IT
- Excellent IT skills including knowledge of complex computer networks, operating systems, software and security appliances
- An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and access risks, threats patterns and trend
- An ability to work under pressure, particularly when dealing with threats and at times of high demand.
