PostgreSQL / Python - Platform Developer required with extensivePostgreSQL development skills including working in clustered environments, tuning and automation, combined with sound Python development skills for the automation of systems administration,and Linux skills, is required by fast growing and world leading video conferencing company to work on their software platform which will involve writing code to automatically deploy and manage database clusters within their complex customers environments.
This role will offer full remote working or hybrid working if you living in proximity of Reading, Berkshire.
Skills required for the PostgreSQL / Python - Platform Developer would include
- Strong skills in complex PostgreSQL Development
- Experience withclustered database deployments (e.g.) including tuning and automation.
- Experience using Python in automation of system administration tasks on Linux-based platforms
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware or KVM) and containerization (e.g. Docker, containerd, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals including IP-based communication

Other desirable skills as a PostgreSQL / Python - Platform Developer would include
- Experience of developing scalable systems and platforms
- Experience with system deployment techniques for one or more of AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Experience with one or more Linux package management system (e.g. Dpkg, RPM)
- Experience with one or more message queueing technologies (e.g. RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, SQS)
- An aptitude for developing and validating secure software
