**About Us**:Spire Staffing is a leading temporary staffing provider for the health and social care sector. We are looking for experienced Support Workers to work within our clients services that support individuals with learning disabilities, enduring mental ill health, autism, and other complex needs. Our mission is to support our service users in leading full and active lives, in line with their wishes and choices.

The role is flexible and will suit someone not looking for a rigid or set rota.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support service users to lead a full and active life, considering their assessed needs and individual support and care plans.
- Participate in the development of support and care plans where applicable.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of service users, taking appropriate action to safeguard them from abuse.
- Provide emotional support while maintaining a person-centred approach.
- Assist service users in participating in social activities and community services, managing finances and medication, and performing practical tasks around the home.
- Respectfully support personal care, hygiene, and healthcare needs.
- Act as an informal point of contact for families and social workers.
- Accurately report and record any issues related to the care and support of service users.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations and prioritise the health, safety, and welfare of others.
- Form appropriate relationships with service users while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Demonstrate the organization’s values and behaviours in all aspects of work.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users.
