**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure the line runs smoothly and report any issues to the person responsible for running the line
- Complete production daily paperwork and electronic data accurately
- Suggestions and support on improvements to procedures and processes
- Ensure that all checks related to food safety and CCPs are carried out as required by procedures
- Assist the person responsible for running the line to set up and ensure it is ready for production as per the planning schedule
- Ensure the right packaging and film matches each production run
- Ensure good housekeeping of tools, machinery & film and surrounding areas
- Monitor machine performance and report any anomalies to your Area Leader
- Operate optical grader to optimise raw material quality and preventing waste adjusting exits etc as needed
- Understand and care for machinery (by cleaning lenses etc) software and communicate with stakeholders for deficiencies and or amendments / intervention required by manufacturer
- Assist the person responsible for running the line and QC to set up the line and ensure it is ready for production as per the planning schedule
- Entering batch codes into the system for yield reporting and reporting to team waste quantities by completing relevant sections of handover
- Complete and amend jobs on the system in lieu of planner at weekends
- QC RAG reporting
- Manage a team of staff to ensure the line is set up as required
- Ensure enough product and packaging is available throughout the day
- Ensure all checks are made as required and report any damages or issues
- Understand and promote production KPI and target effectiveness
- Ensure all cleaning is done as required
- Supervise and train agency workers
- Co-ordinate label sign off process and return label process
- Ensure job information is reported accurately on prophet
- Confirm completion of paperwork by machine operator and accuracy of aspects such as checkweighers
- Communication with other departments as needed to ensure effective running of area inc. of engineering, quality, technical, warehouse

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**:

- Must be prepared to work in chilled environment, full PPE is provided
- Good spoken English and have the ability to follow verbal instructions and commands
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication
- Working knowledge of Food Safety Level 2 (training will be provided)
- HACCP L2 awareness (training will be provided)
- Computer literacy
- Good people skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50-£11.83 per hour
