I am working with a highly reputable and growing fm business who are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Estimator to join the team. They work with commercial clients throughout the UK ranging from retailers, hospitality, educational and healthcare where they provide full hard fm services predominantly fabric and electrical works.

Objectives:

- To aid growth of the Facilities Services division. To take ownership of the timely turnaround of technical quotations within the department.
- Work with Contract Manager / Operations Managers across a portfolio of accounts to provide estimating support and assist in the delivery of secured works managing approved sub-contractors and support staff to ensure the works are delivered in a timely and professional manor and all service performance requirements are delivered.
- To ensure that the business deliver a first-class service to their clients in line with agreed Contract SLA’s and KPI’s. Health & Safety and Compliance measures are always adhered to

The Role:

- Making sure all estimates & quotes are uploaded onto Quote Tracker / submitted to client portals and updated regularly.
- Strong Technical understanding of differing trades and requirements for remedial / small works quotation.
- Ability to interpret client briefs & engineers reports and develop scope of works to enable quotations to be generated.
- Deliver high volume estimating and cost management ensuring profit margin is in line with company requirements.
- Be self-sufficient for end-to-end activities and interacting with both in-house team and client.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, demonstrate a responsive “can-do” attitude to the client.
- Ensure all works delivered are compliant with both the client & our company QA procedures.
- Provide regular progress reports and service updates to the client team, analyse and report on any service failures or potential risks.
- Ensure that you have a comprehensive understanding of the contract requirements and key deliverables.
- Manage risk and maintain statutory compliance.
- Work closely with the helpdesk and work force management teams to ensure we maximise engineer’s productivity and efficiency.
- Able to carry out site surveys & audits to support compliance / project activity.
- Manage contract Gross Margin and identify any opportunity to improve GM profitability.
- Develop and coordinate action plans to implement any improvement initiatives.
- Carry out sample Monitoring of work activities to ensure quality is adhered too.

The Person:

- NVQ level 3 (2360) electrical or recognised equivalent.
- 18th Edition (as of 1st Jan 2019) of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognised equivalent.
- Electrical Apprenticeship - gained within the building maintenance industry.
- Health and Safety Training
- Experience in electrical installation and maintenance work
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience of preparing estimates and quotations
