The School of Nursing and Allied Health has been committed to advancing developments in health and social care for over 25 years, tracing our origins back to 1991 when the Liverpool School of Nursing and Midwifery joined with Liverpool Polytechnic. Today, we continue to strive to tackle health inequalities and social exclusion and deprivation in local communities and beyond, through our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, along with a growing programme of international partnerships and student opportunities.
Due to the unprecedented success of the School, we are now seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Skills and Simulation, **one permanent and one fixed term post for six months **to focus on clinical skills and simulation-based education across all of our health care programmes. You will also have the opportunity to engage in one of the faculty’s research themes.
You will take a key role in the development of clinical skills and simulation activity, designing and delivering a range of high-quality teaching materials and will have the opportunity to engage in one of the faculty’s research themes. You must be registered with the appropriate regulatory body i.e. the Nursing and Midwifery Council/HCPC, educated to Masters level and have significant experience in clinical skills as well as an ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in lectures, tutorials, clinical skills and simulation-based education.
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals dedicated to providing an outstanding student experience who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is your opportunity to be a key contributor to providing a high quality, exceptional and transformative educational experience for students, and be part of our continued development. We believe that LJMU is an environment that will enable your successes to be recognised, celebrated and rewarded. You will join a team of staff with significant real-world experience and expertise from a range of disciplines which means that we are able to support your endeavours and provide mentorship as you grow in your role. If you are student-focused, enthusiastic and motivated, then LJMU is an excellent place to work.
In return, we offer an excellent benefits package including generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, induction and development support as well as family-friendly policies.
This is an exciting time to join LJMU in our bicentenary year and with the launch of our new strategic plan.
If you feel that this is the role you have been looking for and your skills and experience can make a real difference at LJMU, we look forward to hearing from you.
LJMU values diversity and provides a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can fulfil their potential.
