**Wellbeing Support Worker - Spider**is advertising on behalf of a Suffolk charity which works with vulnerable, socially isolated, or long-term unemployed people and those at risk of homelessness across the county. They have a rewarding opportunityfor a**Wellbeing Support Worker**to join their team**, covering Ipswich and surrounding areas.**
As the **Wellbeing Support Worker,** you will adopt a person centred and positive risk taking approach to enable people to maintain and improve their wellbeing, independence, effectively manage and improve their personal safety and improve theirsocial, emotional and mental wellbeing and comprehensively integrated with the running of a successful social enterprises.
**What else does the role involve?**
- Delivering all Wellbeing Hubs at a variety of venues throughout the week. This role is fundamental to participants sense of well-being and social enhancement through creative activities and having fun.
- Plan, organise and run a varied and stimulating programme of activities.
Ensure that a weekly and monthly schedule of activities working with the other Wellbeing Workers.
- Manage a financial budget effectively and efficiently.
- Help provide the opportunity for creative and emotional social interaction and enjoyment.
- Being a strong and inclusive team player, working with the Community team to identify any hidden support needs and refer accordingly to a wider multi-disciplinary team whilst positively always representing the organisation.
- Provide pro-active community support to people experiencing homelessness, rooflessness and or sofa surfing in relation to their Housing, Health, and Vocational opportunities.
- Maintain day-to-day administration, including but not limited to all companion records and volunteer records.
- Support people with their housing and health options working with other agencies where appropriate.
- Hold a case load with 3 monthly catch ups with volunteers and NRC’s, on a 121 basis and Full/UC companions as required by the Community Manager.
- Build positive relationships and secure a range of interventions with partner agencies to address and improve substance misuse, mental health, physical health, sleep routines, eating habits, personal hygiene, and financial well-being.
The **Wellbeing Support Worker** will also identify hidden needs and offer routes internally to improve financial responsibility, nutrition and cooking skills, familial relationships, tenancy sustainment/life skills and harm reduction in areassuch as offending. You will support all companions in their leisure and social activities, improving wellbeing and creating healthier lifestyles.
**About you**
On offer is a salary of £21937 per annum. You will also be entitled to flexible working, pension and free counselling/advice 24hr support for all staff to access. We also offer a 1-year Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship. This is a full-time positionworking 37.5 per over 5 days, working on a rota within normal office hours. This will include occasional Sundays, Bank Holidays, and evenings.
