This role includes leading a team of c7 accounts assistants, planning workloads, delegating tasks and communicating deadlines to team members.

Creating a productive and efficient work environment for the team.

Assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of up to 7 people on all aspects of insurance broker accounting including:

- Processing broker statements on a monthly basis
- Telephone Brokers to ensure payments are received in line with terms of business
- Preparing potential cancellation letters
- Daily BACS allocation for multiple bank accounts
- Bordereau preparation
- Organise the workload for the team on a daily basis and motivate the team to do the job efficiently
- Escalate unpaid 60+ day accounts to Finance Business Team
- Liaise with Central Finance Team in Retford
- Answer queries from customers by liaising with other departments
- Process improvement where appropriate
- Communicate any issues with senior management
- Support for financial and other data requests from the business
- Be an active participant in various projects within Finance Team
- Adhoc duties as and when required

**Experience**:

- Experience within the Insurance or Financial Services industry is required for this role
- Experience of using different IT platforms
- Dealing with high level of customer accounts to keep in line with terms of business
- Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
- An excellent knowledge of Excel (must include V-Lookups)
- You must have excellent attention to detail, be a great communicator and highly organised.
- Strong accuracy and numeracy skills are a must for this role.
- Problem solving through investigation and collaboration with colleagues
