**PE Specialist/Tutor Assessor**

**The Position**

We are seeking a PE Specialist with experience coaching sport or dance to young people and delivering a variety of quality PE lessons to different age groups. Using your knowledge, experience, and our training, you with demonstrate specialist knowledge and passion for the children you teach, working with the same children each term progressing and assessing their skills. You will teach to our delivery standards in a variety of settings.

This role requires an individual who is confident, knowledgeable, and versatile with the ability to engage young people.

This is a training role for an individual interested in working towards teaching the next generation of sports coaches. Primarily working with First Step Physical Education and training with First Step Training to become a Tutor Assessor.

- **£17,290 - £19,154.56 (35 hours)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver PE lessons and a variety of sports to primary school aged pupils
- Be assertive and respected by pupils
- Provide an exciting learning experience
- Be versatile and committed to learning
- Mentor coaches
- Be reliable and flexible
- Demonstrate professionalism to clients
- Travel to various locations and settings

**Knowledge and Experience Requirements**:

- At least a NGB Level 2 Coaching Badge or equivalent
- 2 years' coaching experience
- Teaching qualification - Desirable
- A good knowledge of at least 3 areas of the curriculum is essential (Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, OAA)
- Experience creating and following lesson plans
- Experience assessing pupil performance
- Knowledge and passion for a variety of sports/dance
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Risk Assessment experience
- Experience working with a variety of ages
- GCSE Maths and English.
- First Aid and Child Protection Training - Desirable
- Committed to continuous professional development
