As a Barclays Data partner, you will be joining the team at an exciting time. The Data team is part of the Customer, Digital and Data function that provides business intelligence for Barclays UK. The team is responsible for the management of organizational processes and systems that acquire, create, organise, distribute and use the information within the business.

This opportunity is location flexible. We will consider requests for locating the role at an alternative Barclays’ key UK office from that advertised.

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Translating the business requirements into technical and functional designs and used to create strategic BI solutions
- Providing best practice across the team to maximise the use of the BI toolset and infrastructure and thereby further increase agility and reduce manual effort
- Managing the delivery of the MI architecture and providing support to the MI environments
- Working with the team to design, build, test, and deliver Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to key internal / external (e.g. FCA, or external auditors) stakeholders,
- Collaborating with other team leads (Production, MI Partners, Projects and Sourcing) to manage the workflow of demands and prioritise them in line with both MI CoE

**What we’re looking for**:

- Solution architecture and design involving Databases, ETL and Reporting technologies
- Functional understanding of Banking domain
- Good understanding of various operational processes in Customer journeys, data platforms and associated technical processes
- Exposure to master data management principles, large to very large data analytics platform

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Experience in dealing with BUK’s Product operational data sets across the dimensions of customer, product, segment and accounts
- Ability to translate business requirements into simple, working solutions using new methodologies and data-driven technologies
- Awareness of business analysis techniques, architectural frameworks, product lifecycles, optimised designs using data that already exists
- Great understanding and awareness of fast changing data integration techniques space with hands-on experience of SQL, Big Data tools and technologies

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a truly challenging and creative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
