Our Fiscal Solutions team support businesses that trade across Europe and beyond, helping them minimise their fiscal and administrative responsibilities in the countries where they operate. Our multi-lingual team of approximately 30 people speak 14 languages enabling us to deal directly with tax authorities and clients across
the globe.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in VAT compliance, whether you are a recent graduate, school-leaver or someone returning to work.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience whilst working alongside the Client Managers, supporting them with filing VAT returns and other supplementary declarations.

A mentor will be assigned to assist you with any technical and compliance related queries. You will have your own portfolio assigned to you, giving you the opportunity to work alongside team members with more than 10 years’ experience.

In this in-office role you will provide support to the Fiscal Solutions team, to help ensure all cross-border VAT returns for clients are processed and filed by each country’s deadlines.

**Key Aspects of the role include**:

- Dealing with financial data, preparation of VAT workings, including checking documents (import/invoices) to ensure compliance.
- Calculating the VAT liability for the filing period.
- Submitting monthly/quarterly Tax Returns and any supplementary reports (SAF-T, Intrastat, EC Sales) via the relevant official Tax Authority website or via our local partners.
- Managing deadlines and contractual scope to ensure delivery against compliance obligations.
- Being responsible for managing a small portfolio.
- Assisting the wider team with internal projects.

**You are the right person for the role if you have**:

- 2:1 degree (if applicable)
- 96 UCAS points (240 using the old tariff) or equivalent from 3 A Levels (excluding General Studies and resists)
- Excellent GCSE results with a minimum of a Level 5 (B grade using the old system) in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent
- An interest in UK and EU VAT
- The ability to liaise with internal and external clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
