Senior Stores & Logistics Operative

SFL have been designing and delivering radio communication for over 25 years. We're a Motorola Platinum partner and an established company within our industry. We are ambitious, have seen exponential growth over the last 5 years, and have an aggressive growth plan for the next 10 years. We work across all verticals, but have particularly deep roots within construction, MOD, Hospitality, Utilities and manufacturing. We are growing, and have just tripled our stores area, to keep up with demand, and we require a senior stores and logistics operative to join our team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Unloading inbound/outbound materials safely + movement of product to storage & interim locations.
- Ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate & free of damage and despatched on time to meet both Production and Customer requirements.
- Ability to accurately receipt in product in a timely manner, using the correct warehouse & location, checking appropriate documentation, Delivery notes etc. Ensuring the product on delivery is free from obvious damage and the quantities on delivery match the delivery note. Ensuring the part is stocked in the location it has been receipted against.
- Ability to prepare, check the parts pre despatch and generate delivery notes and delivery labels, so the goods can be accurately despatched to the customer.
- Order picking by pulling & preparing product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded & shipped. Performing picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service specifications.
- Lift, move, load, unload, move, stack, wrap and store product and materials.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and Delivery despatches are met to meet the business KPI’s.
- Ensure the integrity of the system(s) accuracy.
- Perform daily accurate physical inventory and year end stock takes, ensuring proper stock rotation and counts.
- Maintain housekeeping within own work area, assisting in the security of the warehouse.
- Complying with all company Health & Safety and other procedures as required.
- Completion of any other reasonable tasks or requests as required, in order to meet business and departmental needs.
Ideal experience include:
- Some Knowledge of MRP/ERP Computer systems and previous use of.
- Familiarity with working within a manufacturing or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a professional but friendly manner.
- A good attention to detail with a commitment to ensuring quality & quantity of output.
- Required to be flexible able to work in all areas on their own or part of a team.
