Stores Operative
Our prestigious manufacturing-based client, based in Norwich, are looking for a Stores Operative to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis.
Due to increased workload, this temporary position is excepted to last 2-3 months and reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a manufacturing stores/warehouse environment and a working knowledge of IT tools and systems.
**Hours**:
Monday
- Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
Friday: 08:00 - 14:00
Paid for a total of 38 hours per week.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Process the picking, packing and preparing for shipment
- Accurate and timely processing of Goods-In from external Suppliers and internal departments
- Maintaining stock rotation and comply with packaging standards
- Accurately and timely processing of Cycle Counts.
- Feedback any problems to QA as they arise.
- Ensure goods are checked at the time of delivery
- Administer all stock movements
- Liaise with the Export Team with respect to the status of orders for shipment.
- Accurately complete all activities both physically and on E1, in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that stock is moved from/into the Central Stores with the correct documentation.
- Ensure that all computer location records are accurately maintained.
**Further Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Ensure items are used on a first-in first-out (FIFO) basis wherever possible so as to ensure correct stock rotation.
- Report to the Stores Team Leader immediately, any stock quantities that are found to be in error.
- Ensure that the working environment in Stores and the surrounding vicinity, is safe and tidy for all employees.
- Ensure that all items are stored in a suitable, safe manner in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Action the Cycle Count as and when instructed to.
- Comply with all aspects of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and follow the Company Safety Policy.
- Abide by all statutory requirements including those relating to health and safety.
- Read, understand and fulfil responsibilities under the Company’s equal opportunities policy in place from time to time.
- Adhere to and promote all company policies and procedures in place from time to time including those relating to HR and health and safety.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Stores Team Leader.
