Handyperson

**Job role**
- Support engineering team by carrying out varied basic tasks including plumbing, replacing locks, silicone work and basic wood work (removal and replacing)
- Use of hand drills, replacing wall fixings
- Assist with fire alarm testing
- Carry out emergency lighting checks
- Log work on MMP system (training will be provided)
- Assist storeman with stores to learn how stores systems work
- Drain clearing, as required
- Work with engineers when they require assistance.
- Tiling at surrounding sites, as required
- Some minor building repairs

**About The Role**

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Person or in a similar role preferred
- Experience of DIY/light carpentry work is essential
- Sound practical experience in working with hand tools
- Good attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritise and work independently

Our story began in 1948, when Albert Bartlett started our family tradition of selling good-quality produce by setting up a beetroot-boiling operation in Coatbridge, Scotland. Nine years later, Albert’s experience and expertise helped him grow the business, and along with his two sons, Jimmy and Alex, he found a new home for their flourishing company in Airdrie, Scotland.

On that very same site, we made history when we became the first factory in Britain to pre-pack carrots in a plastic bag.
