Turner (Metal Lathe)

We require a time served Turner for our well-established heavy engineering client in the Scunthorpe area.

As a Metal Lathe Operator, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, utilizing your mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain lathe machinery. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your role involves precision tooling and fabrication, ensuring high-quality.

**Responsibilities**

Operate and set up metal lathe machinery to produce precision parts.

Perform grinding and milling tasks to achieve desired specifications.

Conduct quality checks using hand tools and basic math for accuracy.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient assembly and tooling processes.

Adhere to safety standards

**Skills and knowledge**

Prepare and use lathes for turning operation

Prepare and use milling machines

Interpret drawings

Must have NVQ3 in Machining or equivalent.

Highly experienced in use of Centre Lathes

This is a permanent position in a good working environment.

Your rate of pay will be £17.75 to £19.00 per hour.

Your hours of work will be 38hr week (Monday to Friday) Overtime is available dependent on the workload.
