The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is keen to develop new skills and start their career development as an Apprentice Information Officer. If you have a natural interest in data and healthcare, this role could be for you

As an apprentice, you will be required to assist with the data processing and analytical support to the Information Services team in the provision of the Trust’s key performance and management information.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

**A Typical Day in the Job**:

- Creating and presenting reports.
- Working on Excel logging formulas.
- Working with data sets (using SQL & Power Bi).
- Collect and quality assure data within the Trust’s information systems.
- Monitor the IS inbox, dealing with queries, escalating issues and logging requests on the IS planner.
- Carry out any other duties at the request of the Head of Analytics.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic team.

**Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extremely organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Energetic and collaborative.
- A passion for data and healthcare.
- Minimum grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English or functional skills equivalent is required for this role.
