Yard Operative

Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is looking for a Yard Operative at our purpose-built processing facility in Eye, Suffolk.

The role is a full-time, permanent position within our despatch department.

Shift pattern**:4on - 4off from 18.40 - 06.40**

Pay rate**:£13.68 /h including attendance bonus**

**Part of the role will be to**:

- **Operate Counterbalance forklift or other hand truck**:

- Operate Telehandler to move and tip dolavs into a trailer.
- Operate Shunter truck to move trailers on/off the loading bays and in the Offal area
- Weighing the Offal (CAT2/CAT3) trailers on the weight bridge to maintain the required trailer fill.
- Record the required information on the daily checks (trailer lists / trailer checks)
- Follow quality and customer service standards set forth by the company.
- Perform daily equipment counts as required.
- Unloading / Loading deliveries of the equipment (pallets, dolavs, trays ).
- Inspect and perform maintenance of Counterbalance, Telahandler and Shunter (pre-start checks)
- Use a compactor and on a regular basis and empty the rubbish bins.
- Cleaning as you go, litter picking, pressure washing and preparing the yard for all weather conditions

**Requirements**:

- **Shunter License - Essential**:

- **Counterbalance Forklift Licence - Essential**:

- Telehandler Licence - Preferred
