Hungarian Interpreter

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Provide accurate interpretation**: Bridge language barriers in real-time between English and Hungarian speakers, whether in person, over the phone, or via video.
- **Handle diverse assignments**: Work in a variety of public and private settings, including medical consultations, police interviews, court hearings, and business meetings.
- **Uphold confidentiality**: Maintain the highest level of discretion with all sensitive information, strictly adhering to professional codes of conduct.
- **Prepare diligently**: Research terminology and context for each assignment to ensure precision and accuracy.
- **Travel as needed**: Be available to travel to various locations within the UK for on-site appointments.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Bilingual fluency**: Complete command of both Hungarian and English.
- **Professional credentials**: A formal interpreting qualification is highly preferred. This could include a **Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)**, a **Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting**, or a degree in a related field.
- **Proven experience**: Prior professional interpreting experience is essential.
- **Legal and ethical compliance**: Must be prepared to undergo an **E**nhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and have the legal right to work as a self-employed professional in the UK.
