Maintenance Fitter

Role Description
Carry out mechanical repair and maintenance work on factory services and equipment to maintain efficiency of the plant

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and repair mechanical faults with factory services and equipment in order to maintain efficient operations.
- Observe factory equipment and services to establish what planned maintenance work needs to be carried out
- Record any planned maintenance on SAP planned maintenance work sheet in order to provide an accurate reference point
- Carry out fabrication in order to produce equipment that improves or assist the operation of the factory equipment and services
- Communicate with both colleagues and supervisor in order to maintain a well-formed team
- Comply with company health and safety procedures in order to maintain a safe work environment. Carry out housekeeping in accordance with company hygiene rules.

**Requirements**:

- Understanding of mechanical principles, and operation of various factory equipment and services
- Familiarity with factory work areas
- Ability to carry out work on factory services and equipment; Adjust/Repair/Dismantle/reassemble/Diagnose faults
- Ability to communicate: Verbally/In writing

What we offer
Competitive salary based on Grade 7 of the harmonised pay scales. Minimum of the grade £30,000, maximum of the grade £33,130
