**Overview:**

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 4 Software Apprenticeship.

It’s important that we get the right people for our team so at interview stage you’ll get the opportunity to meet our CEO and understand the contribution you’ll be making to the organisation’s overall vision.

**Duties:**
**The projects you could work on will be:**
- Redress Manager - building batch processes within the product
- Supporting and working within a team environment to develop build and test processes
- Providing feedback on existing / new processes to improve them and the core logic within our software

**What we are looking for:**
**We are willing to look at those that have**:

- Developed either a website, mobile or PC app
- Done some form of programming
- A good grasp of financial products
- A real aptitude for development

**What skills and experience we are looking for**:

- A real flair for development - we will want you to have coded as part of your course and in your spare time
- Natural flair for problem solving and ability to meet deadlines
- A good mathematical/financial background. This can be from course work,qualification or work experience
- Ability and experience of working in a team - can be at school or outside in groups - e.g. team sports or voluntary work you may have done
- Good verbal and written communication skills and a can do attitude
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A good understanding of programming algorithms
- Ability to work to deadlines and on multiple projects at any one time
- We would like to see evidence of your technical skills if possible - links to websites that you have worked on or GitHub links to code - from something you have done in your spare time

It would also be useful (but not essential) if you have a working knowledge of some of the following:

- Windows environment
- Development language
- Excel VBA

**Entry requirements**:
**The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:**
- Level 3 Software apprenticeship
- OR BTEC Diploma in IT and successful completion of our Aptitude Test
- OR two years' experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our Aptitude Test

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

We are interested even if you have less than a C at English, providing you are literate.
That said, we need someone with development skills who has excelled in development both at school and also as a hobby.

**Working week:**

Monday - Friday,
Total of 37.5 hours a week.

**Additional information:**

We work collaboratively and you will be required to attend our offices for three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday) and you will work from home on Monday and Friday.

**Salary:**

£16,000 per annum.

**Future prospects:**

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

**Important Information:**

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
