Traffic Planner

**Traffic Planner - 16:00 Monday to Friday**

Clarke Transport a 90 year old family ran private business - one of the leading privately owned multi-service transport organisations in the UK are looking for a **Traffic Planner**to work out of our depot in **Bridgend.**

**Job Role & Purpose**

You will plan the utilisation and routing of vehicles, to ensure the smooth running of logistic operations for onward delivery.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Plan loads, routes and schedule delivery times, to ensure the vehicle utilisation and service level standards of the Company are met.
- Utilise and maintain computerised systems to maximise business efficiency and customer service.
- Ensure documentation is properly completed in line with customer and Company requirements.
- Work collaboratively and proactively with customers, suppliers and drivers and the traffic desk to resolve and minimise potential issues, such as late deliveries and missed time slots.
- Liaise with the Traffic Team to ensure efficient driver briefing and de-briefing.
- Ensure strict compliance with transport regulations and Company policies and procedures, such as health and safety and quality systems.
- Monitor and report any areas of concern promptly to the Night Operations Manager or Assistant Night Manager.
- Provide general support appropriate to the management when required.
- To complete any other reasonable duties as instructed by the management team.

- £33,165 Per Annum
- 20 Days plus 8 statutory holidays (28 days in total)
- Additional Holiday after 4 years’ service - Extra Day for every additional year’s service up to a maximum of 5 extra days.
