Compliance and Quality Manager

Our client is currently looking for a Compliance and Quality manager to join and further strengthen their team.
As a Compliance and Quality Manager you will be working within the video gaming industry, as part of a business that is the world’s #1 manufacturer of gaming furniture.
The Compliance & Quality Manager will have a strong understanding and ability to set the correct compliance protocols across different areas. Working with partner labs and standards offices, you will support the product team to ensure all products are compliantwith sales territories.
**You will as a Compliance and Quality Manager**:
- (Under Compliance)_
- Have a strong understanding and experience with this industry, ensuring all products supplied, carry accurate compliance regulations and specifications across all product groups.
- Maintain DoC’s for all products and a full document library of all compliance certificates for the company.
- Ensure that testing is updated in line with customer requirements and to work with customers to ensure they have all required documents.
- Advise the NPD team on new items and specific compliance requirements across different markets and territories
- Work with the team in China to inform and coach, ensuring they understand the upskilling required on all compliance matters.
- Work with all factories and 3rd party suppliers, to ensure factory compliance is in place for the business and customers, on areas such as Social Audit, SMETA & BSCI.
- Review and enforce CAPs needed.
- Be the key point of contact for the company for all external compliance matters for customers, regulatory bodies, trading standards officers and other official parties.
- Coordinate and manage reporting in the UK/EU on WEEE and other required declarations
- Support the licensing programme across all licensor partners on all compliance matters.

- Oversee and support the quality team on a global basis. Supporting offices and factory QA teams in China, to improve QA processes and reduce the defectives and non-working products.
- Authorise all/ any pre
- shipment inspections where QA concerns are raised on behalf of the company.
- Support any QA matters raised by customers and provide timely and accurate feedback on actions and improvements as needed.
- Work with the service team to identify contact/ complaints trends at a product level and support the products team to make improvements where needed.
- As a key member of the products team, you will take a quality first approach to all product development and throughout the product life cycle. This will cover product, packaging and instruction & assembly manuals.
**We are looking for A Compliance and Quality Manager with the below desirable skillset**:
- Experience working in QA/Compliance previously.
- Have experience of working with furniture, general merchandise, toys or consumer electronics (Ideal, not essential)
- Knowledge of the construction and technical elements of a product.
- Have experience of working in QA within a factory/manufacturing environment OR within Retail as a Product Technologist.
- Work experience within British or European standards and/or trading standards.
- Familiarity of the processes of requirement standards, in order to launch a product to the market, which is compliant / legal.
- Experience working with remote teams in other countries.
- Have experience Working with factories to support Audits / Corrective Actions plans
- Social responsibility experience.
- BSCI, SEDEX, ISO exposure or experience.
- Mid-tier managerial experience (C8/C10) and is hands on within the workplace.
- When necessary, building furniture will required, for example, to be able to give feedback on the assembly instructions etc.
**Other Elements**:
- **You will be required to travel, potentially up to 2-3 times per year for up to 14 days. Including travel to Asia, China, Vietnam & USA.**:
- **You must be fully vaccinated and have a clear passport that enables you to travel to all countries with no restrictions.**:
- **This role is office based with office opening hours of 8am - 6pm**:
