**The role**:
As the Company continues to experience significant growth and an increase in client requirements, we are now seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified individual to join our Consultancy team in the position of Senior Sustainability Consultant.

In addition to this, the postholder will also support the Consultancy Division by embedding sustainability within the Company’s wider environmental consultancy projects, and actively contribute towards the continued improvement of Adler & Allan’s internal ESG strategy and objectives.

This is a full-time role however applicants should be aware there will be the need to dedicate any time required to ensure tasks are progressed which may involve working outside of contractual hours. Given the geographical location of the Company’s offices and depots and client sites, overnight stay away from home will be a requirement in this role.

Key tasks and accountabilities associated with this post are as follows:

- Project management with support/training from the management team, finance, and consultancy support teams.
- Arrange site works (including site inspections and audits) in accordance with scope including communication with relevant parties.
- Delivery of climate change, net-zero, sustainability and ESG related projects
- Environmental /Sustainability Gap Analysis.
- Sustainability Strategies and Policies.
- Climate Adaptation / Resilience Strategies.
- Net Zero Carbon Strategies and associated Science Based Targets.
- Non-Financial Disclosures to various standards (TCFD CDP, GRI).
- ESG Assessments to various standards, including working knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Able to multitask effectively by working across several projects and proposals simultaneously.
- Control and take responsibility for project financials.
- Manage contractors, subconsultants and suppliers.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and quality on all projects.
- Assisting senior management in the development and training of less experienced team members.
- Support and building relationships with stakeholders in the Adler & Allan business.
- Identify and share opportunities for the wider A&A group.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring consistently high levels of safety, technical robustness, commercial awareness, organisation, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as required by the consultancy division and other areas of the business in order to meet business needs.

There will be a requirement for the postholder to contribute towards new ideas and initiatives; and help shape an exciting, ambitious sustainability division driven to create positive change.

We are seeking to appoint a driven and dedicated individual who is self-motivated, adaptable and possesses excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.

**Senior Sustainability Consultant requirements**:

- Degree in a STEM based BSc, related to sustainability/ESG
- Professional accreditation desirable
- Four or more years’ experience gained within a similar position delivering ESG and sustainability projects
- Previous experience with a consultancy firm. Experience with carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions) and reporting (across a range of protocols and regulatory regimes)
