Our Centre of Excellence is seeking experienced scrub practitioners, to undertake the role of Scrub Team leader within Orthopaedics - This post is open to both RGN and RODP

The post holders will be required to supervise a team to assess, develop, implement and evaluate perioperative patient care on a daily basis and works closely with all disciplines to ensure the effective running of a theatre within our department within set guidelines in the absence of the Speciality Manager on duty. The post holder will be required to provide specialist scrub assistance in theatre, managing their own workload and supervises the work of others within a team.

The post holder will be involved in deployment, supervision and teaching of staff within the clinical area and support the Speciality Manager on duty in providing clinical and managerial leadership to Nursing/Operating Department Practitioners and support staff.

Contribute to the daily running of the designated hub, ensuring the
provision of the highest standards of care, services and patient safety in
line with the Health Boards values.

Provide professional leadership within the clinical area, providing direction, and inspirational leadership to all members of the team, acting as a role model at all times ensuring professional standards are maintained.

Take the role of theatre coordinator in the absence of the Theatre Hub Speciality Manager / Theatre Matron.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
