Finance Business Partner

**The Role**

As Majestic Wine Finance Business Partner for Retail and property you’ll play a key role in supporting our 200+ Majestic stores and the senior management team in driving business performance by providing financial analysis, support and challenge. As a newlycreated role in our Finance Department this represents an opportunity to really add value through creating new insights and process to help understand business performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Budgeting and reforecasting in line with annual business cycle
- Preparation of business cases for capital investment and post investments appraisal
- Provide Business partnering support to retail, store development and property team
- Manage and report on retail cost base, working with the retail team to understand variances to plan
- Create and own store payroll planning model to ensure the business operates as effectively and efficiently as possible
- Working with the retail team to create store level sales targets by channel based on the top line company target
- Represent finance within the retail team attending and contributing in relevant stakeholder meetings
- Periodically review retail KPIs and present insight to the retail team to help drive business performance
- Provide adhoc analysis and insight to the retail team
- Support FP&A team to support the monitoring of head office cost base and group reporting
- Any other activities required to complete the role.

**Knowledge & Skills Required**:

- A Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with 2 year+ post qualified experience ideally in business partnering/commercial finance
- Experience in working in a retail environment or fast paced sector e.g. FMCG
- Preferable experience multi site, in particular payroll, store sales targeting and store profitability - is a advantage
- Strong core finance skills of management accounts and budgeting
- Evidence and ability to provide financial insight/analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to create compelling business cases
- Able to liaise with and influence colleagues at all levels of the organisation
- Comfortable working under pressure
- Advanced excel skills
- Comfortable in handling and summarising large quantities of data
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, self starter and good team fit
- Desire to progress and develop self and drive the business forward
- Knowledge of SAGE advantageous

- **Location**: Our Head Office is based in Watford, just 20 minutes from London Euston. From Watford Junction, we are a 15-minute walk to our Head Office
