Cutting Edge Trading Limited are looking for a motivated individual to work predominately as as saw operator and outfeed operative. The product we handle is between 2.4 and 4.2 metres in length.

**Production Operative - Saw Operator**

The role of a production operative - saw operative is to aid with the general production requirements throughout manufacturing process of MDF Mouldings. The main areas of work within this role are:

- Working as a saw operator on the Flexirip with a trained and authorised operative and taking instruction from them.
- Working as an outfeed operative on a moulding machine, ensuring to safely and correctly stack the MDF as they come off the machine outfeed table, ensuring the board is blemish free and of superior quality. This task involves working to a list and counting the quantity as it comes off the moulder outfeed table to ensure it is the same as on the production list and marking as complete accordingly.
- Identifying and carrying raw strips from the storage racks to the infeed tressles of the moulder as required by the machinist.
- Working as an infeed operative on the Primer, ensuring that all boards are butted together to create a continuous vacuum within the primer allowing the best quality finish available.
- Working as an outfeed operative on the Primer, physically carrying individual primed boards from the outfeed of the Palmer Primer to the drying racks and ensuring pieces do not touch on racks to avoid sticking together as they cure.
- General housekeeping, ensuring that all walkways and work areas are kept free of any obstruction or possible tripping hazard, items such as banding wire, loose plastic sheeting, wooden skids.

Hours of work are Mon - Fri 8:00 - 16:30 with a half hour lunch and mid-morning break.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent - There is an initial trial period of 3 months. We reserve the right to end the employment at any point during this trial period.

The wage for this role is £10.00 p/h. Progression opportunities may become available.

This is a physically demanding job and requires you to be on your feet all shift.

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime
