Procurement Assistant

**Procurement Assistant** Required - Our client, a national leader in Medical and Pharmaceutical distribution, have an exciting opportunity for a talented procurement assistant to join our organisation who will focus on the day to day running of our procurement function. This role will allow the successful individual to, grow, and develop alongside the business with opportunities for further progression by using your initiative, being customer focused, and finding solutions to issues that arise within the department.

**Procurement Assistant
- Position Overview**
- Assist Procurement Manager with all day-to-day aspects of the procurement function to achieve KPI’s
- Generate purchase orders based on sales order and stock requirements
- Maintain availability status of stock records and suggest alternatives
- Reporting of damages/short deliveries with suppliers
- Source pricing and product details for customer product requests
- Create new stock product records
- Update supplier cost prices as required
- Maintain supplier delivery charge information
- Maintain/update supplier information and price lists
- Liaise with suppliers regarding prices and availability
- Compile supplier price comparisons
- Process customer and supplier returns following agreed procedures

- Experience in a Procurement environment (desirable)
- High attention to detail
- Able to problem solve
- Able to commute to Speke

- Position Remuneration**
- Salary - £22,000
- Hours - Mon to Fri - 08:45 to 17:00
- Discretionary Bonus + No sickness Bonus
