111 Health Advisor

LCW is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a 28-year history of delivering high quality and patient centred services across London. LCW is one of several organisations providing NHS 111 services across England.

In this role, you will become part of a highly skilled and clinically lead team based in the heart of West London, next to the World-famous Portobello Road Street Market. We are committed to staff development and you will be presented with the opportunityto undertake extensive training and development within the context of the NHS 111/ IUC Career Blueprint which the service has recently introduced.

**We are looking for members of staff who wish to work term time only. We will try and mirror the school academic year as much as possible.**

**Over the calendar year you will work 42 weeks Term Time only plus three additional weeks which are**:

- **1 week over the Summer holidays**:

- **1 week over Christmas**

Staff are welcome to work additional hours if they wish to do so.

**The minimum working hours are 25 hours per week**

Job Objective:
111 Health Advisors are mediators, influencers, pacifiers and life savers no two calls are the same.

As a 111 Health Advisor, you will take a variety of incoming calls from patients, providing them with an appropriate response to urgent healthcare needs within a timeframe. This could range from booking a GP appointment, advising them to attend an out ofhours service or even dispatching an ambulance.

You need to be a good communicator with an excellent telephone manner. It is essential that you are computer-literate and keen to learn new skills. You must be passionate about high quality patient care and be caring and able to remain calm under pressure.

**Training salary: £19,000 per annum, pro rata**

**Salary after training: £24,000 per annum, pro rata**

Please note you will be required to undertake and pass CM1 and CM2 assessment to progress

Job Objective: Working as an integral part of the Integrated Urgent Care service (formerly 111 and OOH) as an IUC Health Advisor, you will be instrumental in delivering a model of urgent care that streamlines and improves outcomes for the patient. The successof this integrated model is reliant on a range of factors, including the workforce - both the clinical and non-clinical staff - working together with a focus on providing excellent patient care.

Working in LCW UCC’s Integrated Urgent Care Service will put you on a career pathway that will see you progressing through the ranks should you wish from levels 2 to 6 - supported by a robust training and development plan.

Role Summary: The post holder will be responsible for the prioritization of presenting clinical symptoms, supported by decision support software throughout a 24-hour period. This will include the transfer of patient calls to the appropriate endpoint andthe giving of appropriate advice.
