Acting as a trusted advisor delivering practical advice to individuals and working within a Clinical Negligence team for a growing regional law firm, this is a superb opportunity to undertake both a challenging and rewarding caseload.
The main focus of this role is to proactively manage claims ensuring service delivery is in line with client expectations and you will primarily assist and support fee earners in the Clinical Negligence team by:
- Carrying out initial fact-finding meetings with new clinical negligence claim enquiries and cases
- Producing relevant chronologies of medical records
- Keeping clients up to date with all relevant information
- Contacting medical experts
- Assisting in supervising the paralegals in the team with the above tasks
- Other ad-hoc tasks that assist the team
It is preferable you have previous experience working in the legal sector, although this is not essential, but you should have a medical background, ie so you could be a nurse who is interested in working in the legal sector. The ability to communicate effectivelyis essential.
