You will be a core member of the technical team which controls all mandatory product declarations, facilitates product and system enquiries, creates project specific specifications and calculations, and carries out performance and product development, validationand certification.

**As the Graduate R&D Technician, your main responsibilities are**:

- Undertaking product testing for the purpose of evaluating against existing National and International performance standards
- Testing both the company’s products and those of competitors to an agreed programme of work, and reporting comprehensively on the findings
- Working with external testing facilities, providing samples of the correct format for external testing and evaluation to an agreed specification
- To record, develop and manage data acquired through both the internal and external testing process, via the assigned departmental databases
- Ensuring that relevant testing equipment complies with the appropriate test standards, and that required maintenance schedules are implemented

**To be the successful Graduate R&D Technician you**:

- Will have a degree in Chemistry or similar
- Might have a working knowledge of flooring products, possibly through an internship
- Are IT literate
- Understand the principles of report writing and interpreting test results
- Are a strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Will be self-motivated and resourceful
