dnata Catering UK is the leading provider of inflight services to the world’s airline customers. We offer a comprehensive range of Inflight Catering, Onboard Retail and Logistics services across all of the UK’s major and regional airports.
The role is based in Manchester.
**What’s the purpose of role**:
The Stock Demand and Planning Manager is responsible for the forward planning of the stocks to support the needs of the customer. Using the warehouse management system (WMS) to influence the short-term demand profiles to drive out the optimum stock holdingwhich is then managed by the stock control team on a daily basis to ensure the stock levels are in line with the future demand and the customer KPI’s are delivered as well as managing the stock depth and stock turn to deliver internal targets.
**Who you’ll deal with**:
Internal: Senior management team, operational service delivery team, unit function managers, compliance team, financial team, IT team, supply chain team, human resources, customer services, sales & commercial team
External: Airline Customers
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Manage the demand profiles on WMS to ensure that stock level algorithms are maintained to meet the future demand
- Manage the day to day stock control team to ensure the stock is maintained at an optimum level to deliver customer KPI targets
- Review the weekly stock depth report to identify -/+ stocks and take corrective action.
- Ensure stock depth is in line with target.
- Supply weekly stock availability reports to customers.
- Participate in Customer meetings with a view to gaining enough MI to help plan for future demand
- Coaching and supporting team members
- Provide support to the Central Stock Team to deliver continues improvement.
- Develop effective working relationships with external customers and suppliers and internal unit and support services teams.
- Co-ordination of the De-list process to ensure maximum stock returned to suppliers, to minimize liability for Alpha LSG and our customers.
- Manage De-list process ensuring compliance to agreed vendor / customer agreements
- Ensure Delist Process is competently planned, implemented and reviewed.
- Ensure all communications to the wider business regarding De-list Process etc. are actioned.
- Monitor Bond's progress with De-list and provide feedback to line manager.
- Provide regular updates as per plan against agreed KPIs.
- Analyse and present data for month end PI reports and produce reports for Ops GMs.
- Assist with the annual Wall to Wall Stock Taking process which may include occasional travel / overnight stays
