**Our Transport Planner role is one of our key roles in making our customers’ lives easier.**

This is a role for a person who enjoys the challenge of finding the best solutions to deliver service excellence to our customers whilst delivering an efficient plan that meets the relevant Transport KPIs. The planners day will typically be 10:00 - 19:00 however due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required around these hours. Sunday working will also be part of your normal working pattern.
**The role**
Using our latest Transport software systems, your role will be to create and deliver efficient and feasible transport plans that meet the needs of our customers. Using data will be a big part of the role so an eye for detail is key along with strong IT skills.
**What you’ll need**
- Eye for detail and strong organisational skills
- Good analytical investigation skills
- Good administrative skills
- Team player
- A personable and collaborative approach
- Previous experience within a busy transport department
- Legal and compliance knowledge (Tachograph and working time directive legislation)
- Works well under own initiative and under pressure
- Prior experience of either routing software or routing experience in a multi-temp multi-drop delivery environment is highly desirable.
Please note this role will be contracted to 48 hours per week work working any 5 out of 7 days per week.
**Salary**: £38,500.00 per year
