**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an International Programme Funding Officer / Charity Donor Fundraiser who has a solid track record of developing proposals and high quality reports for institutional donors and experience of humanitarian and developmentfunding.

Working as an International Programme Funding Officer / Charity Donor Fundraiser you will work closely with programme and funding colleagues to develop high-quality programmes and projects that enable the organisation and its partners to maximise incomefrom institutional donors.

As an International Programme Funding Officer / Charity Donor Fundraiser you help extend the reach and impact of the organisation’s programmes in delivering positive and lasting change for some of the world’s poorest communities.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as the International Programme Funding Officer / Charity Donor Fundraiser include:

- Act as the organisation’s donor lead for allocated donors
- Support or lead on corporate, regional or multi-country programme funding opportunities, including proposal development
- Support or lead organisation engagement with specific multiyear funding frameworks
- Represent the organisation externally with agreed priority donors, leading on strategic relationship management in liaison with programme and funding colleagues
- Support colleagues to develop high quality programmes and projects by providing donor specific technical and compliance advice, working collaboratively to increase the quality of funding bids and contract management
- Where appropriate, lead on the preparation and submission of reports and on contract management, including the preparation, review and timely submission of financial and narrative reports and facilitating external evaluations
- Work closely with Finance, the International Operations team, and other colleagues to ensure business systems and processes satisfy specific donor requirements
- Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with allocated donors, carrying out research, proactively disseminating information on new funding opportunities and sharing donor updates with other programme and funding colleagues
- Work closely with the Head of the Integrated Funding and Business Unit to strengthen the organisation’s approach to new business innovation
- Support colleagues in programme teams to strengthen organisation’s and partner’s institutional funding capacities
- Support the development and implementation of the organisation’s Integrated Funding Approach including contributing analysis and supporting Funding Forum processes
- Communicate with other teams to ensure institutionally funded programme are well understood, and that information is available for fundraising and communication needs

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to monitor budgets and spend in line with funding requirements
- Able to negotiate and monitors standards of performance across diverse settings through task management structures
- Project and process management experience, including planning, M&E skills and familiarity with programme cycle management tools and methods
- Significant experience of working cross-organisationally
- Solid track record developing successful proposals and high-quality reports for institutional donors - including on multi-sector/-country programmes
- Experience of humanitarian and development funding
- Experience of donor relationship management with institutional donors
- Willingness and ability to travel overseas for periods of 1-3 weeks up to 4 times a year
